WHAT EVERY PARENT NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT YOUR CHILD LOSING TEETH
Your child’s baby teeth will begin to wiggle as early as age 4 typically kids lose teeth between the ages of 5-15, girls tend to be quicker than boys.
Adult (permanent) teeth start pushing/growing underneath the baby teeth causing them to wobble and eventually fall out. Kids tend to lose teeth in the same order they got them. Most common to fall out first are the two front teeth then the canines followed by the molars.
Us parents love to help celebrate this milestone, perhaps using the tooth fairy tradition. There are so many creative ideas that families do at this time. When I was a kid we had a ‘Tooth Mouse’ called Freddy that came with a silver coin in exchange for my tooth. I never did see him but heard ALOT about him! A well known tradition in New Zealand (and many other parts of the world) is the financial reward for the child that often comes from the Tooth Fairy! This can make loosing a tooth a fun and exciting experience for your child.
Since starting my business I decided to create something a bit different to help celebrate the milestone of losing teeth: The Tooth Monster!
He/She is a fluffy, very huggable creature with a mouth pocket that houses the fallen out tooth. A big mono-eye with ribbon lashes guards the preccious cargo while you sleep. In the morning, inside the mouth lays a gold coin. Magic! This fluffy, huggable monster is the perfect cuddle friend for your soft toy collection. He/she will be waiting for all those teeth, and there will be loads!
